Little Stony Point Park

Just north of Cold Spring NY on the east shore of the Hudson this park has beach access to the river and great views:

It can be reached by train from New York City. The main street is lined with antique and art stores and restaurants.

Government Canyon State Natural Area

Located just west of San Antonio Texas. Recently opened with fairly rugged hiking and mountain biking trails.  The Siselman House - about 3 miles hike to get there. Fenced off awaiting restoration

Pedernales Falls State Park

The falls are fairly dry and slow running this year due to drought...
